About this event

The Longest Day is a team event to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association®. 
Held annually on the summer solstice, the duration of this sunrise-to-sunset event 
symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is a proud contributor to the Alzheimer's Association and President Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson is making a donation on behalf of AKA during the Alzheimer's Association's biennial conventions. An AKA team is not obligated to raise funds for The Longest Day event.
 
Thus, as participants of the Longest Day, AKA teams do not have to pay a registration fee. Members, friends and family joining AKA teams must use the code AKA at registration and will not receive a registration kit.
