The Alzheimer’s Women’s Auxiliary for Resources & Education was founded in 2000 as a friend-raising auxiliary by families and friends who have been touched by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. AWARE has helped to champion the cause by providing volunteer leadership and support to the Alzheimer’s Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter. Over the past fifteen years, Houston AWARE has raised more than $3 million through the annual Luncheon.
For the 19th Annual AWARE Luncheon we are pleased to honor Carol Straus McDonald, AWARE Co-Founder.
This year's luncheon speaker will be Louise Bayless Parsley, award-winning writer ans author..
We know there is no treatment or cure for Alzheimer's disease and it affects more than 140,000 families in Southeast Texas. Alzheimer’s disease has touched so many of our friends and their families. No one is immune from its impact. The challenges can be daunting, not only for the person with Alzheimer’s, but also for their loved ones and caregivers.
Awareness, education and research are the only ways we can eradicate Alzheimer’s.
Your donations matter in making the vision of a world without Alzheimer’s a reality. With your support, the Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter is able to provide services throughout 37 county service areas to thousands of individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Most importantly, we are able to be here for you and your family when you need help.
Please join us in supporting the fight against this crippling epidemic. By sponsoring the AWARE luncheon, you provide critical education, outreach and services for local families living with dementia, as well as fund vital research.
As an event sponsor, you will receive a premium table for ten guests, in addition to acknowledgment in all print materials. Most importantly, your sponsorship will bring us one step closer to achieving our vision: a world without Alzheimer’s.
